What we collect

There is no account here: no sign-up, no email address and no profile, so we never ask you for anything that identifies you.

Like any website, our hosting records ordinary technical request logs (IP address, timestamp, the URL requested and your browser’s user-agent string) for security and diagnostics. We do not use them to build a profile of you. Anonymous gameplay analytics, advertising and cookies are each covered in their own sections below.

What your gameplay sends us

The game itself runs on your own device: the dice, the rules, the AI opponent and the result card are all computed in your browser. Your individual rolls and moves are never transmitted — there is no game server keeping a record of the match. The one thing that does leave your device is a small amount of anonymous analytics about the match, described in the Analytics section below.

Your current win streak (a single number) and your mute preference are stored in your browser’s localStorage on your device. That data never leaves your device and is lost if you clear your browser data. We keep no copy of it, and it identifies no one.

The share/result image you can create at the end of a match is drawn on your device from the game’s own numbers; if you choose to share or download it, that action is handled by your device and your operating system, not by us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the game is used so we can improve it. It records a few non-identifying events as you play:

• game_start when a match begins, carrying the chosen difficulty, a coarse device class (touch or mouse) and screen orientation (portrait or landscape);
• first_input the first time the game accepts a move that session, carrying the same device class and orientation;
• game_over when a match ends, carrying only the outcome — whether you or the AI won, and how (a normal win, a gammon or a backgammon).

These events carry no personal information: no name, no email, no account, and nothing about your specific rolls or moves. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to identify you. Google Analytics’ storage (analytics_storage) defaults to granted, while the advertising cookies (ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) default to denied. For visitors in the EU and UK, consent is governed and down-gated by Google’s certified consent management platform, the same one described in the next section.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Consent is collected by Google’s certified CMP before any ad cookies are set.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can accept or reject cookies at any time, and you can clear them in your browser. We do not sell personal information.
